Certainly, I am sure if a lot more care had been taken, this could have been prevented,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Mahama explained that the train was one of the most difficult pieces to acquire, having secured it nearly two years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, it had been scheduled last for body repairs due to the extensive rust it had accumulated over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The train formed part of Ghana\u2019s oldest railway stock, which is no longer in operation, and had been acquired as part of Mr. Mahama\u2019s preservation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_1305434\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/train-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1305434 lazyload\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The accident scene<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/citinewsroom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/train-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1305437 lazyload\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Despite the destruction, he confirmed that no injuries were recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo one was injured, thankfully.
